JetSMART Review: Is JetSMART a Good Airline?
Yes, especially if you want a low base fare for travel around Chile and the region and prefer to add extras separately. JetSMART is an ultra-low-cost airline created by Indigo Partners, based in Santiago and operating since July 2017. Every ticket includes a small bag of up to 10 kg that fits under the seat in front.
Strengths
- Baggage: Every ticket includes one small bag or backpack of up to 10 kg and 45 x 35 x 25 cm for the space under the seat in front
- Fleet: The airline operates Airbus A320 and A321-family aircraft, including A320neo and A321neo models
- Miles: JetSMART participates in American Airlines’ AAdvantage program. Members can earn up to five miles per eligible US dollar depending on the selected bundle, and miles can be redeemed for JetSMART flights
- Connections: Eligible JetSMART and American Airlines codeshare itineraries booked through American Airlines offer a single check-in and through-checked baggage to the final destination, subject to airport policies. During irregular operations, passengers can be moved to the next available connection at no extra cost
- Flexibility: The current bundles are LIGHT, SMART and FULL FLEX. FULL FLEX includes unlimited eligible flight changes and a full refund until two hours before departure; fare differences may apply. FlexiSMART removes the change penalty for eligible itinerary changes but does not make the fare refundable
Good to know
- Refunds: Refund conditions depend on the selected bundle. FULL FLEX is refundable until two hours before departure, while nonrefundable bookings may still qualify for a refund of applicable airport departure taxes
- Bags: The Basic fare includes only the small under-seat bag. LIGHT adds a carry-on, while SMART and FULL FLEX include a carry-on and checked bag
- Seats: A seat is assigned at random at no charge on Basic; seat selection is included with some higher bundles or can be purchased separately. Seats have a fixed recline
- Discount club: JetSMART also sells its own Club de Descuentos, a paid annual membership. Its airline discounts are separate from the free Wego promo codes listed on this page
Best for short trips around Chile and the region when the free under-seat bag is enough, or when a current bundle includes the extras you need.
Frequently Asked Questions
It is a discount code listed on this page that lowers the price of a JetSMART booking. The codes are collected and updated by Wego, and they are free to use. They are not JetSMART’s Club de Descuentos, which is a paid annual membership sold by the airline and whose discounts do not apply to promotional fares.
Start your JetSMART search from this page and book directly with Wego by choosing the Book on Wego option. On the payment page, paste your Wego promo code into the Add Promo Code field and apply it before you pay.
No. Every JetSMART ticket includes a small bag of up to 10 kg and 45 x 35 x 25 cm for under the seat. The current LIGHT bundle adds a carry-on, while SMART and FULL FLEX include a carry-on and a checked bag. A Wego promo code only lowers the price of your booking.
No. JetSMART has no loyalty program of its own and is part of American Airlines’ AAdvantage, which runs on that program’s own terms. A Wego promo code simply lowers the price of the booking you make with Wego from this page.
The codes shown on this page are Wego promo codes for JetSMART bookings. They change as offers launch and expire, so the current one is always the one listed here. Apply it in the Add Promo Code field when you book through the Book on Wego option.
It depends on the code. Some Wego promo codes work for guest bookings, while others require you to sign in. You also need an account to use codes offered to returning Wego users.
Yes. Applying a Wego promo code costs nothing; it only reduces the price of your booking.
It depends on the promo code. Some Wego promo codes cover both domestic and international flights, while others apply only to selected routes or regions. Check the terms shown with each code before you book.
No, only one Wego promo code can be applied to a booking. If you have more than one code, compare them and use the one that saves you more.
Most Wego promo codes apply to the base fare only, so taxes and service fees stay the same. That is why the final saving can look smaller than the headline discount.
After you apply the Wego promo code on the payment page, the discount appears in the total before payment. If the total has not changed, the code was not applied.
When you choose the Book on Wego option, Wego processes the booking and payment, so Wego promo codes can be applied. If a partner or the airline processes the payment instead, Wego promo codes are not valid.
There is no fixed schedule. Wego adds new promo codes as offers launch, including special ones around holidays and events, and removes expired ones, so check back before you book.
The most common reasons are that the code has expired, your route or dates fall outside the offer, or the booking was not made directly with Wego. Wego promo codes only work when you book through the Book on Wego option, so check the code’s terms and try again from this page.
No. Wego promo codes only work while you are making a new booking. They cannot be added to a ticket that is already issued.
